Port Arthur, TX (7/13/2020) – An accident in Port Arthur left one motorcyclist dead on Friday, July 10.
The accident happened on South MLK Drive, near SH 82 on Pleasure Island, and it occurred between a truck and a motorcycle. Both vehicles were headed in opposite directions when the collision occurred. Investigators believe poor visibility due to foggy weather was a factor in the crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old Nathan Keith McCarver, was killed as a result of the injuries he suffered.
It is unknown if anyone in the truck suffered any injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
