Houston, Texas (Aug. 16, 2022) – The Houston Police Department is reporting that a one-year-old boy was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle.
The incident happened at roughly 1 a.m. on Woodland Park Drive. A 33-year-old man, seen driving a white Alfa Romeo Stelvio, struck the child as he was leaving a party at a nearby home.
The driver assisted the parents of the child with transporting him to a local hospital. Police say the driver is cooperating and has been released at this time after questioning. They do not believe the driver was impaired at the time of the accident.
The case is still open and is being referred to a grand jury.
