Person Killed in Fatal Rollover Crash in Shallowater

Shallowater, TX (5/22/2021) – A person was killed in a fatal rollover crash Saturday night near FM 1294.

The accident happened on U.S. 84 around 7 p.m. when an SUV headed westbound failed to yield the right-of-way and crashed into a southbound pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup, 30-year-old Bryson Grant McCarty, was killed.

The driver of the SUV, Lacharotte Carlson, 77, was taken to UMC with unknown injuries. 

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
