Kaufman, TX (11/03/2019) – A head-on crash that happened Sunday night left three dead and one injured on State Highway 243 in Kaufman, Texas.
A 2006 Saturn SUV was traveling westbound on the highway when it crossed into eastbound traffic and struck a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.
The driver of the Saturn, identified as Emiliano Lara, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 78-year-old John Fuller died at the scene.
Passenger of the Chevrolet Cheryl Brumfield, 75, also died at the scene.
Brenda Fuller, 74, was a second passenger in the Chevrolet and subsequently transported by airlift to Baylor University Medical Center for serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
