Corpus Christi, TX (12/20/2020) – A fatal accident left three people dead on Sunday near Petronila.
The accident occurred around 12:04 p.m. on Sunday when two vehicles collided near FM 665 and County Road 61. A passenger vehicle passing multiple vehicles at a high speed collided into another passenger car head-on.
Both vehicles ended up in a field and caught fire.
Three people were killed as a result of the wreck. Two victims were identified: 31-year-old Amber Madrano and 22-year-old Jacklyn Espinosa.
Two children, ages three and eight, were taken by HALO-Flight to Driscoll Children’s Hospital. They are expected to be OK.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
