Lubbock, TX (2/4/2021) – A crash left two people dead in Lubbock Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 11:20 a.m. on Erskine Street. A BMW was headed east on Erskine Street and a GMC was also headed east at a high speed. The BMW slowed and began making a left turn onto a driveway. The GMC attempted to pass the BMW then ran a stop sign and struck the BMW.
The impact forced the BMW into a building and the GMC into a light pole.
Both drivers were killed at the scene. They were identified as 41-year-old Abel Rangel and 69-year-old Susan Marie Gray.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
The actions between the two vehicles resulted in two deaths of two drivers. The families of the drivers have a right to file a wrongful death claim due to the accident.
