Fairfield, TX (5/4/2020) – A person was killed Friday, April 24, after a two 18-wheeler wreck on I-45.
The accident happened around 6:00 p.m. when an 18-wheeler slowed down while it approached an accident. A second 18-wheeler, an International, continued without slowing down and rear-ended the first 18-wheeler. The International truck went underneath the first 18-wheeler.
The driver of the International, Yampier Espinosa-Marquez, 41, died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
