Houston, Texas (Feb. 24, 2023) – A man is in police custody after reportedly chasing two teenagers on dirt bikes, hitting them, and fleeing the scene. One of the teens, a 16-year-old, was killed in the incident.
Police believe the two teens were chased by a driver in a dark-colored SUV in a road rage incident. The driver was later identified as 42-year-old Alfred E. Woods. Woods was arrested and is facing two counts of failure to stop and render aid.
The two teenagers were taken to a local hospital following the incident. The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other teen, an 18-year-old, remains in critical condition in the hospital but is reportedly stable.
The Houston Police Department is currently investigating the situation further.
