Houston, Texas (Sept. 16, 2022) – A 68-year-old pedestrian with a walker, was struck and killed as part of a hit-and-run crash. The Houston Police Department said the incident occurred at the 8800 block of Westheimer Road near Lazy Hollow Drive at roughly 5 a.m..
According to officials, the 68-year-old was dragged nearly a mile to a mile and a half by the vehicle. His remains were found Lazy Hollow and Hullsmith Drive.
Police did note that he was in a crosswalk at the time of the accident. The area where he was struck is reportedly very dark.
The driver fled the scene, and police have not given a description of the vehicle at this time. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
