Accident between Two Trucks Left Two Injured

Lubbock, TX (2/2/2021) – A crash between two trucks left two people injured in southeast Lubbock Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. on Southeast Drive. A box truck and a semi-truck crashed with each other. 

Serious injuries among two people were reported. They were both taken to UMC where they later died. They were identified as 57-year-old Ernesto Aguilar and 41-year-old Augustin Vasquez.

The victims were taken to University Medical Center.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
