American Airlines Employee Killed at Austin-Bergstorm International Airport

Austin, Texas (April 20, 2023) – Last week, an American Airlines employee was killed at Austin-Bergstorm International Airport. American Airlines Worked Killed at Austin Airport

An accident was reported around 2 p.m. on April 20, with the Austin Police Department responding to the call. Airport communications contacted emergency services, saying a ground service vehicle struck a jet bridge. 

First responders who arrived at the scene reported that the worker suffered injuries near the area where planes load and unload passengers. The individual died at the scene. 

The APD Vehicular Homicide Division and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the incident.
