Angel Vera Dead after Fatal Accident in Amarillo

Amarillo, TX (12/2/2019) – A man is now dead after being hit by a pickup truck on Thursday in the 6000 block of Dumas Drive in Amarillo, Texas.

According to officials, Angel Vera, 24, was driving his 2015 Mazda MZ6 and stopped his car for possible mechanical problems. Vera was standing near his truck when a Ford F350 pickup was traveling northbound and hit Vera and his vehicle.

Vera was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries. He later died at the hospital.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
