Blalock was pushed into the southbound lane of traffic and was struck again by a Dodge Ram driven by 60-year-old Grayling Jones.
Blalock was transported to UT Health, where she later died.
Davis and Jones suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
Texas Is an At-Fault State
In Texas, drivers involved in car accidents always include someone who is at-fault, meaning that there is an individual who caused the accident to occur. In the case above, Blalock was struck by two different drivers. Because of this, the insurance companies in contact with Jones and Davis could face more than one claim of wrongful death.
