Ashley Renee Hernandez Killed in Rollover Accident

Amarillo, TX (12/11/2019) – A woman is now dead after being involved in a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday, December 10 in Amarillo.

The incident occurred on the 8500 block of I-40 East when a Chevy Avalanche going eastbound lost control, spun, hit a curb, and rolled several times.

Ashley Renee Hernandez, 31, was killed at the scene.

The driver of the Avalanche, 38-year-old Ricardo Alfonzo Sanchez, received non-serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.

He has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter. Speed, marijuana use, and no seat belt are the factors involved in the crash.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Because of the negligent decisions to drive at high speeds while intoxicated without wearing a seat belt, the surviving family of Ashley Renee Hernandez has a right to file a wrongful death claim against Ricardo Alfonzo Sanchez.
