HeatherHeather joined Sutliff & Stout, Injury & Accident Law Firm in January 2019. Prior to that, she developed extensive trial experience on the defense side of the bar. After defending some of the world’s largest companies, Heather is excited about representing the proverbial underdog. She is passionate about the law and the prospect of using her talent and skills to achieve justice for those wronged or hurt by others.

Heather was born on an army base in Georgia. After living overseas in Hong Kong for several years, her family settled in Houston, and she was raised in Spring Branch.

Although not native to the state, Heather is a proud Texas nonetheless. After graduating high school as a National Merit Scholar, Heather obtained a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She worked two jobs throughout college to help support herself.

As a first-year attorney, Heather was responsible for preparing her firm’s response to a request for proposal from a large London insurer that resulted in the firm being selected as one of the 36-panel firms in the country, despite the firm having performed almost no previous work for the client.

As a result, the firm sent Heather to London to work in-house with the client for three months, where she gained invaluable experience as to the inner workings of the London insurance market.

Throughout her career as a defense lawyer, Heather represented both large and small companies. She has extensive federal court experience and has tried cases to juries and the bench. She has also tried cases to verdict in state courts around Texas. She is proficient in handling all aspects of her cases with a careful eye to detail.

Heather is the proud mom of two wonderful teenagers and several four-legged kids as well. She has a passion for rescued animals, traveling, historical fiction, the Houston Astros, and cooking. She is a long-time volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
