Billy Poe Killed in Deadly Motorcycle Crash in Richmond

Richmond, TX (1/28/2020) – A man is now dead after being struck by an alleged drunk driver in a head-on collision Saturday morning.

The accident happened in Richmond around 9:45 a.m. on Pitts Road. According to DPS, 51-year-old Michelle Keith was headed northwest in a Chevrolet Tahoe when he crossed into the southbound lane and struck Billy Poe, 66, head-first while on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Poe was then taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Keith was arrested for intoxication manslaughter. He is now held at the Fort Bend County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
