Houston, TX (6/8/2020) – A teenager is dead and two others are injured after a deadly wreck on Highway 6 in northwest Harris County.
The crash happened just after 2:30 a.m. near Loch Katrine Lane. A Hummer and a BMW collided, causing the BMW to split in half and be entirely unrecognizable.
Tristan Sanders, 16, was killed. He was a backseat passenger in the BMW.
The 16-year-old driver and 18-year-old passenger are both in the hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the Hummer, 47-year-old Carlos Guillermo Ayala, was not seriously injured. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
