Austin, TX (7/17/2020) – Undefeated boxer Travell Mazion was killed in a fatal multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday night in Austin, Texas.
A Cadillac STS driven by Mazion went into oncoming traffic on FM 1431 and struck two cars around 9:40 p.m.
Mazion was pronounced dead on the scene.
Three people were involved in the wreck. One suffered potential life-threatening injuries and another was airlifted with critical injuries. A driver of a Honda involved in the crash, 61-year-old Richard Salter, was later pronounced dead at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.
In Texas, the immediate family members of people who were killed because of negligence are able to seek damages and hold the responsible party accountable by filing a wrongful death lawsuit.
Because damages claimed in wrongful death lawsuits are usually significant, insurance companies and lawyers for the at-fault party will do everything they can to avoid being held responsible. For this reason, it’s critical that the Mazion’s family be represented by their own lawyers who have significant experience handling wrongful death claims.
