Telferner, Texas (April 2, 2020) A man is now dead after being involved in a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 59.
The accident happened around 5:08 p.m. at the intersection of FM 1686 and U.S. 59. Tammie Hermans, 58, was headed northbound when she struck the driver’s side door of a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by 69-year-old Calvin Kuykendall.
Kuykendall was killed at the scene.
Hermans suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Citizens Medical Center.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
