Houston, Texas (Aug. 5, 2022) – A child was killed after a cement truck reportedly fell off an overpass. The incident occurred on the southbound frontage road of Beltway 8 near Woodforest Boulevard.
Houston Police reported that a cement truck was traveling in the main lanes of traffic on the Beltway, when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck fell on its side, on top of another vehicle. Inside were individuals, including the child who was killed. All others were able to escape the vehicle with assistance from first responders.
There are no other known injuries at this time. The incident is still under investigation.
