San Antonio, TX (8/14/2021) – A child is now hospitalized after two vehicles collided on the South Side of San Antonio Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened on the Del Lago Parkway and Highway 281 South. A hatchback Ford Focus was headed north when it reached a red light. Due to the traffic light having issues, the Ford attempted to reverse at the intersection. That’s when a pickup truck headed south crashed with the Ford.
Four occupants in the Ford were all sent to the hospital, including a 10-year-old girl. She is in critical condition with a leg injury.
The three occupants in the pickup truck were also sent to the hospital.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
