Manor, TX (4/8/2020) – A child was killed last week after an accident involving a drunk driver in Manor, Texas.
The crash happened on East Parmer Lane on March 30. The accident involved a Hummer H3 and a Mercedes Benz ML3. The BMW hit the passenger side of the Hummer after the Hummer failed to yield to the Mercedes Benz. Two children were transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center for treatment.
One of the children, 9-year-old Daminik Lopez, died from her injuries on April 4.
The other child had to undergo emergency surgery for critical injuries.
The driver of the BMW, 34-year-old Cain Perez Estrada, was arrested for a DWI.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
