A Construction Accident Left One Dead and Two Injured at Frito-Lay Plant in Irving

Irving, TX (October 7, 2019) – A group of construction workers fell about 30 feet after two pieces of equipment collided at a Frito-Lay plant in Irving, Texas.

The construction accident happened Friday around 1:00 p.m. Three men working for Walker Engineering were on a construction project at the plant.

The men were on a scissor lift when two pieces of equipment collided with each other causing the workers to fall about 30 feet.

One man died. One man is listed in critical condition and another suffered severe injuries. 

No identities have been released.

Authorities state that this was an accident and no criminal charges will be filed.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will investigate the death and injuries of each victim.
