Odessa, Texas (Nov. 20, 2022) – Stephanie Ferrer, 44, and Leilani Ann Orr, 18, were killed in a multi-vehicle early November 19 in Reeves County. Police are investigating the accident as an alcohol-related crash. 
Juan Orta-Gonzalez of McAllen was traveling east in the westbound traffic lane on HWY 20 in a Toyota Tacoma. Orta-Gonzales struck a Toyota Corolla, which was then hit by a Volvo 760 pulling a trailer and an 18-wheeler.
The driver of the Corolla, a 19-year-old from Denton, was taken to Reeves County Hospital for critical injuries. The two women were pronounced dead on the scene.
Orta-Gonzalez was arrested following the accident on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.
