Abilene, TX (3/12/2020) – A crash Wednesday evening killed one person and injured five people in Abilene.
The accident occurred at US Highway 277/83/84 and North Beltway Road around 5:30 p.m. A truck hit a Ford sedan that failed to yield at an intersection.
Diego Hernandez, 18, died from his injuries suffered from the crash.
Five other people, including a 1-year-old, remain injured. One man was airlifted and three women were taken to the hospital via ambulance.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
