Lubbock, TX (1/16/2020) – A driver was killed and a motorcyclist seriously injured after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 84.
The accident occurred near Lubbock when a pickup truck that was stopped on CR 1700 failed to yield right-of-way before going on US 84 and collided into a motorcycle that was headed eastbound on US 84.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 80-year-old Dwain Ed Kuhler, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His condition remains unknown.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
