Galveston County, TX (8/17/2021) – A person was killed after a five-vehicle wreck involving a propane truck occurred in Dickinson.
The accident happened around 4 p.m. on Algoa-Friendswood Road and FM 517 when a vehicle headed west on FM 517 veered into the eastbound lane and struck a propane truck. The propane truck rolled as a result and hit two other vehicles.
The first vehicle and the propane truck caught fire. Thankfully, the truck did not explode.
The driver of the first vehicle was killed at the scene.
The propane truck driver was transported to a local hospital for observation.
The condition of the other drivers is unknown.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
