Silsbee, TX (3/11/2021) – Two drivers were injured in a crash involving a school bus in North Hardin County.
The accident happened along FM 92 around 6:30 a.m. A Silsbee Independent School District bus was stopped along northbound FM 92 with its flashing lights activated waiting for students to board. A Toyota pickup truck headed southbound stopped for the bus but the Dodge passenger car following the truck rear-ended the pickup.
The force of the collision caused both the car and the pickup to cross into the northbound lane striking the bus.
The drivers of the pickup and the Dodge were taken to Christus St. Elizabeth hospital with unknown injures.
The bus driver was not hurt.
No students were injured in the wreck.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
