Spring, TX (5/1/2021) – An elderly woman was killed en route via ambulance by a red light runner late Friday night.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. on TC Jester and Cypresswood Drive.
A woman, 81, was being taken to the hospital in an ambulance when a car ran a red light and struck the ambulance. The ambulance rolled at least once.
A patient, medic, and driver were inside and all three were taken to the hospital. The woman was killed due to her injuries.
Two people inside the car were also taken to hospitals. The car’s driver was critical at the time of the crash.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Running a red light at a traffic stop is a violation of Texas roadway laws, and a clear indication of negligence.
