Nacogdoches, TX (2/24/2020) – A man was killed Friday after being hit by a semi-truck on US 259 in Nacogdoches.
The accident occurred around 11 a.m. An International semi was headed south on Hwy 259 while a disabled vehicle was parked on the southbound shoulder.
The driver of the disabled vehicle, 23-year-old Ethan Smith, stepped out of the vehicle and into the path of the semi.
Smith was killed from his injuries.
The driver of the semi, 33-year-old Luis Moreno, was not injured.
