Odessa, Texas (April 20, 2023) – Officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety were investigating a crash near West Murphy and Business 20 in Odessa when a train collided with a truck.
The truck was unoccupied at the time of the crash, but the vehicle had just been part of a separate deadly crash. 
DPS reports that the truck and a Honda minivan were involved in an accident, with the truck ending up on the train tracks.
The driver of the minivan has been identified as John Edward Grube. He died on the scene.
His passenger, Kay Clemens Pries, was taken to a hospital in Lubbock, where she is said to be in critical condition.
