Fatal Crash Involving a Cattle Truck and Vehicle in Stonewall County

Stonewall County, TX (September 27,2019) – A major collision between an 18-wheeler hauling cattle and another vehicle left at least one person dead on Thursday evening in Stonewall County.

The truck accident happened around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 476 and Highway 83 between Hamlin and Aspermont.

According to authorities, the 18-wheeler and the other vehicle collided and both caught on fire. 

The impact of the crash killed at least one person.

The driver of the 18-wheeler suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The crash also resulted in the death of two of the cattle and several others escaped.

The Texas Department of Public Safety will review all factors that may have led up to the wreck and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
