Kountze, TX (11/11/2019) – A Kountze man has died from his injuries after being hit by a train on Saturday night.
The accident happened around 9 p.m. near Highway 69 when pedestrian Christopher Lloyd Rhodes, 39, was struck, then pinned under the train until first responders rescued him.
He was transported to a nearby hospital.
Rhodes died from his injuries on Sunday morning around 6 a.m.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
