Edinburg, TX (5/4/2021) – A wrong-way five-vehicle crash left one person dead early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at North Expressway 281 around 4:30 a.m. Five vehicles collided as a result of one vehicle driving the wrong way on 281.
The wrong-way driver was identified as Tyrone Amos, 29.
The driver of one of the vehicles involved died from the injuries sustained. The victim was identified as Victor Bazan Jr., 27, of Palmview.
Six others were sent to the hospital.
Once released from the hospital, Amos faces one count of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
