Greater Houston, TX (August 29, 2019) – Authorities are looking for a driver who fled the scene after hitting three motorcyclist.
The motorcycle accident happened around 11:45 p.m. near Spring Cypress Road and Ella Boulevard.
According to authorities five motorcyclists and the driver of a black Ford Mustang were all traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed.
The motorcyclists slowed down for the red light at Ella, but the driver of the Mustang did not slow down and crashed into three of the five motorcyclists. The car slid across the road and hit a dirt pile before coming to a full stop. The driver fled the scene on foot.
The motorcyclists suffered serious injuries and each were transported to local hospitals. At this time the motorcyclists have not been identified but remain in stable condition.
Authorities are looking for the driver. Anyone with information about this hit-and-run should call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
Crash investigators will review all factors pertaining to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
