Former Florida Congressman Allen West Injured after Motorcycle Wreck

Waco, TX (5/26/2020) – Allen West, a former Florida Congressman, was released from a hospital Monday afternoon after a motorcycle accident in Waco.

West suffered a concussion, several fractures, and multiple lacerations after the motorcycle he was on crashed into a second motorcycle around 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening. This happened because a driver changed lanes and pulled out in front of the two motorcycles.

Both West and the other motorcyclist were taken to Scott & White Hillcrest with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
