Dayton, TX (2/18/2020) – Four people were killed Monday after a head-on collision on State Highway 146 south of Dayton.
The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. when a Chevy Silverado headed southbound veered into the northbound lane and struck a Ford F-250.
The three occupants in the F-250 were killed. They were identified as 41-year-old Ricardo Martinez, 40-year-old Alfredo Cueller Jr., and 27-year-old David Cortes.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado, identified as 25-year-old Blaine Springer, was also killed.
A third vehicle was involved in the crash and the driver suffered non-serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
