Austin, Texas (Sept. 6, 2022) – Two people are dead following a multi-vehicle accident involving a large truck in downtown Austin. The crash occurred in the 100 block of N I-35, near Cesar Chavez.
Officials with Austin-Travis County EMS (ACTEMS) say two other people were taken to a local area hospital following the wreck. ACTEMS also reported that the driver of the garbage truck was trapped inside their vehicle following the accident.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
