Hewitt, TX (2/6/2021) – A Good Samaritan was left injured after being hit by a car while assisting car crash victims on Saturday.
The accident happened on FM 2837 and Chapel Road around 8 p.m. An accident between a Jeep and a Chevrolet Sonic happened when the Sonic failed to yield the right-of-way to the Jeep. A Good Samaritan stopped to help those in the accident, but was hit by a Buick car that was passing by.
The Good Samaritan was flown to Baylor Scott and White in Temple in critical condition.
The occupants of the Chevrolet were taken to Baylor Scott and White in Waco to be treated for a possible injury.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
