Head-On Crash Leaves 1 Man Dead in Coffee City

Coffee City, Texas (Feb. 22, 2023) – A head-on crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning has left one man dead.

Local police responded to reports of a wreck in the 7700 block of Highway 155. When they arrived, a white car and a green pickup truck were heavily damaged.

According to the preliminary investigation, police believe the white car lost control after its spare tire failed, leading it to drift into oncoming traffic, colliding with the truck.

The driver of that white vehicle was flown to a local area hospital for emergency services. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
