Head-On Motorcycle-Vehicle Collision Left Two Dead, Two Injured in Lubbock

Lubbock, TX (6/22/2020) – A fatal motorcycle-vehicle collision left two people dead and two others injured in Lubbock.

The accident happened Saturday night, shortly after 10:30 p.m. The motorcycle, driven by 37-year-old Jason Buckner, was headed eastbound in the westbound lanes of East Slaton Highway. A Cadillac SRX, driven by 28-year-old Freddie Flores, was traveling westbound in the westbound lanes. The motorcycle struck the Cadillac head on.

Buckner and his passenger, 42-year-old Stephanie Duke, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Flores and the occupants of the Cadillac, 26-year-old Cindy Delao and two juveniles, were transported to UMC.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
