Henderson County, TX (10/25/2020) – A man, woman, and unborn child were killed in a fatal head-on wreck that occurred early Sunday.
The accident happened on FM 315 near Coffee City. A Chevy pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Brandon Collins crossed into the northbound lanes of FM 315 and struck a Dodge Neon head-on.
The woman, 23-year-old Leanna Hester, was killed at the scene. She was carrying an eight-month-old that also died in the collision.
The man, 24-year-old Blake Stanford, was treated at a hospital in Tyler before dying from his injuries.
Collins was treated for injuries at an Athens hospital and then arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
