Spurger, TX (10/7/2020) – Two drivers are now dead after a head-on wreck occurred in Tyler County Wednesday evening.
The accident happened around 7:15 p.m. on FM 92, a mile south of Fred. A Hyundai passenger car was headed southbound on FM 92 when it crossed over into the northbound lanes and struck a Chevrolet pickup truck.
The driver of the Hyundai, 33-year-old Summer Stephens, was killed at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 46-year-old Daniel Summerlin, was also killed at the scene.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
