Crosby County, TX (4/22/2020) – A high schooler was killed Monday night after being involved in a wreck with a Greyhound bus.
The crash happened on US-62/82 near Ralls Cemetery around 10 p.m. According to DPS, a pickup driven by 16-year-old Ryan Avery Sosa Soliz was approaching the intersection of US HWY 82 while the Greyhound bus was westbound on US HWY 82. Soliz failed to yield right of way, and the bus collided with the front driver side door of Soliz’s pickup.
Soliz was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The Greyhound bus driver and its 16 passengers were not injured.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
