Harris County, TX (8/31/2020) – A hit-and-run wreck left one driver dead Monday morning in Harris County.
The incident occurred around 5:22 a.m. on W. Sam Houston Parkway North. A man identified as 50-year-old Dagoberto Pablo Monge was behind the wheel of a car when he crashed into the back of a white van. He then drove off without rendering aid.
The driver of the van succumbed to his injuries sustained from the accident.
Monge is now charged with failure to stop and render aid involving death. Monge is currently being held at the Harris County jail. His bond is set at $10,000.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
