James Ross Ragsdale Killed after Fatal Drunk Driving Wreck

Bryan, TX (3/3/2020) – A man is now dead after a drunk driving crash caused by his best friend happened Saturday morning in Bryan. 

The accident happened on E. 29th Street and Briarcrest Drive around 5:00 a.m. Colton H. Bradley, 21, ingested two shots and three beers right before he got into his Chevrolet Camaro and ran a red light. A pickup truck T-boned his Camaro in the intersection. 

Bradley’s passenger, 27-year-old James Ross Ragsdale, was killed when he arrived at the hospital. 

Two occupants in the pickup truck suffered fractured bones due to the crash. 

A third vehicle that was also hit suffered minor injuries, as well. 

After Bradley was treated for his own injuries, he was transported to the Brazos County Detention Center. He’s facing multiple charges, including two counts of Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle causing Serious Bodily Injury, Intoxicated Manslaughter with a Vehicle, and a charge for having no liability insurance on his car.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
