Joe Antonio Quintero Sr. Killed in Deadly Train Accident

San Marcos, TX (6/16/2020) – An elderly man is now dead after being hit by a train Sunday morning.

The accident happened on East McCarty Lane around 9:00 a.m. when Joe Antonio Quintero Sr., 80, drove his Toyota Tundra over train tracks even though the crossing arms were down.

The train collided into the Toyota Tundra, killing Joe Antonio Quintero Sr.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
