Houston, TX (3/3/2020) – A man is now dead after a wrong-way crash on State Highway 290 Saturday morning.
The accident occurred in Houston around 2:20 a.m. on Highway 290 near W. Tidwell. Brandon McGhie, 26, was headed home when he was struck head-on by a truck driven by 25-year-old Jose Turrubiartes that was headed the wrong way.
McGhie was killed at the scene.
Turrubiartes was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
