Shelby County, TX (7/14/2020) – A woman is now dead after being involved in a rollover wreck in Shelby County
The accident happened on CR 3853 south of Joaquin on Saturday around 9 p.m. Alfredo Ramirez, 17, was driving a Jeep CJ5 when it left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. He and his passenger, 21-year-old Kailey Agnew, were both ejected from the Jeep.
Agnew was pronounced dead on Sunday after being at UT Health in Tyler.
Ramirez was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
