Upshur County, TX (2/14/2020) – A 3-year-old girl is now dead after a deadly accident between two vehicles occurred on Texas Highway 300 in Upshur County.
The accident occurred Friday afternoon. According to DPS, a Honda CRV driven by 62-year-old Amelia Wright Scott was headed onto Texas Highway 300 when she failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a Ford Focus driven by Mindi Marie Higar, 24.
A 3-year-old female passenger in Scott’s car was taken to a children’s hospital, where she later died.
Scott was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Higar was taken to Christus Good Shepard in serious condition.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
